When you first meet someone, you become captivated. But how can you tell whether a person is already in a relationship? Or your friend is hiding their newly formed relationship, but you want to know if that duffer got someone? As you see your sibling’s behavior changing, you are becoming curious if the reason behind it is a person whom they are interested in. You will find yourself in many situations where you want to find out if the people you are close with are dating someone or not.
Fortunately, you have a variety of options from which to decide.
- Search online. Check out any social networking sites they may have, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Myspace, and others. Verify if their relationship status is “in a relationship” or not.
- Be aware that you might need to ask them to add you to view their profile if it’s private. By doing this, you might reveal your interest.
- Examine their profile and current images in addition to doing so. Are there any images of a pair or any indications that they might be dating?
- See if someone is ever mentioned. Engage your interest in casual chats that occasionally turn to questions about romantic relationships. Even a name could be mentioned!
- What has the person been doing lately, you should inquire. Make an effort to elicit responses that will lead them to say, “I did this with my girlfriend.” It’s a good idea to inquire about their weekend.
- If they use the pronoun “we” to discuss past or future goals and activities, that is a strong clue.
- Additionally, keep an eye out for nonverbal cues that someone is already committed to. Are they grinning and texting nonstop on their phone? Are they constantly busy or do they frequently leave to meet others?
- Speaking with the individual can be beneficial for you as well. You’ll learn a little bit more about them. You can decide if you genuinely like them and want to get to know them more.
